Looking to host a Corporate Make a Blanket Day?

A corporate event for Project Linus would be a company-organized event where employees gather to collectively make blankets for children in need, contributing to the mission of Project Linus.  Essentially, it's a team-building activity with a charitable purpose focused on creating comfort for children through blankets

What Steps are involved?

Contact Local Chapter

 Contact local Project Linus chapter: Coordinate with your local Project Linus chapter to arrange fabric delivery, pick-up of finished blankets, and any necessary training.  

Set a date and time

 Set a date and time: Choose a date that works for most employees, considering scheduling during work hours or as an after-work activity 

Gather Supplies

 Gather supplies: Arrange for necessary materials like fabric, cutting tools, rulers etc.

Promote the event

 Promote the event: Communicate details to employees through company newsletters, intranet, and email 

Optional Activities

  • Design  contest: Encourage employees to submit design ideas for  the blankets. 
  • Donation drive: Set up a donation station for additional supplies or monetary contributions. 
  • Volunteer recognition: Acknowledge and celebrate employees who actively participate in the event.
